The Best Coffee Shops in Lake Norman, NC
If you have been following me for very long, you know that I love finding and supporting local coffees shops. They are one of the first things I search for and add to my itinerary when traveling! I also try to support as many of the local coffee shops in my area that I can on a regular basis. When we lived in Huntersville, NC I had the opportunity to try almost all the local coffee shops there. We definitely had a favorite go-to spot, but there are several shops worth highlighting here. The Best Coffee Shops in Cornelius
Waterbean Coffee – 19420 Jetton Road Ste 405, Cornelius, NC 28031
Established in 2013 by Tony and Annie Vo, this local coffee shop has grown quite a bit since then. Locations can now be found all over North Carolina, mostly concentrated around the Charlotte metro area. Our favorite thing about Waterbean is the food! They always have really tasty pastries and treats to choose from. What to order: Snickerdoodle Latte, Apple Turnover
The Best Coffee Shops in Davidson
77 Grounds Coffee – 605 Jetton Street Suite B, Davidson, NC 28036
Owners Maddie & Sean opened this small contemporary coffee shop in Davidson in August 2020. They also have a mobile coffee bar that you can book for any occasion, from weddings to pool parties. What to order: Gingerbread Latte
Good Drip Coffee – 108 S Main Street Suite A, Davidson, NC 28036
Good Drip is located in a great spot in walk-able downtown Davidson. Grab a coffee to go and stroll the pedestrian friendly streets, or sit and enjoy a cup in their cozy space. What to order: Gingersnap Latte, Pop Tart (any flavor!)
Summit Coffee – 128 S. Main St, Davidson, NC 28036
Founded in 1998, this shop on historic Main Street is the original. The small space downstairs can get crowded quickly, but they have a larger seating area upstairs and a great outdoor space. What to order: Vanilla Latte, Chocolate Chip Scone
The Best Coffee Shops in Denver
Defined Coffee – 2204 St James Church Rd, Denver, NC 28037
Similar to the original location in Huntersville, this cafe is located inside Lake Forest Church. They have indoor seating, a great outdoor space, and a conference room available for reservations. Defined Coffee sources and roasts the best single origin coffee beans they can find, and their dedication to a better coffee experience shows. What to order: Latte (any of their regular or seasonal flavors!), Cranberry Orange Muffin
The Best Coffee Shops in Huntersville
Defined Coffee – 8519 Gilead Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
This is where it all began, the original location inside Lake Forest Church opened in 2018. We love this cafe and visited multiple times a week when we lived in the area. In fact, out of all of the best coffee shops in Lake Norman, this one is our favorite. This was the place where the baristas knew us and what we liked to order. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as conference rooms available for booking. What to order: Latte (any of their regular or seasonal flavors!), Cranberry Orange Muffin
Main Street Coffee – 104 S Main St, Huntersville, NC 28078
Established in 2019, this local coffee shop has a dedicated coworking space upstairs. You can purchase a day pass, flex desk, or dedicated desk. In addition to the rented coworking space, they have regular seating downstairs for everyone to enjoy. What to order: Snickerdoodle Latte, Salty Dog Latte, Chocolate Orange Latte
Summit Coffee – 16639 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Suite C-300, Huntersville, NC 28078
Located in Birkdale Landing, this location has a nice open seating area inside as well as plenty of outdoor seating. What to order: Vanilla Latte, Chocolate Chip Scone
Waterbean Coffee – 9705 Sam Furr Road Ste A, Huntersville, NC 28078
At around 4000sf this location is their largest. There is plenty of indoor seating, as well as a handful of tables outside. What to order: Snickerdoodle Latte, Apple Turnover
The Best Coffee Shops in Mooresville
Clutch Coffee Bar – 154 W Plaza Dr. and 356 Williamson Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117
Clutch Coffee Bar has two locations for you to choose from in Moorseville. We have been to both and have no preference, so I included both addresses for you. Clutch first opened in the Carolinas in 2018. They pride themselves on providing the best drive-thru experience on the planet, and I can attest that they are doing a fantastic job. What to order: Irish Dream Latte, Aloha Latte, Cloud 9 Mocha
Defined Coffee – 500 S Main St Suite 112, Mooresville, NC 28115
Located inside Merino Mill, this cafe is also home to their roastery. You can watch the entire coffee roasting process if that is something you are interested in. Parents of young children, this location has a small space set up with them in mind. My son loved the toys and wooden puzzles we found here! Main Street Coffee & Urban Grind – 239 W Center Ave, Mooresville, NC 28115
This coffee shop used to be occupied by Urban Grind Coffee Roasters, a South African transplant, who served up really great coffee. More recently this shop was bought out by Main Street Coffee. What to order: Snickerdoodle Latte, Salty Dog Latte, Chocolate Orange Latte

Third Eye Coffee – various locations around Lake Norman
Third Eye Coffee is The Traveling Coffee Shop, a coffee truck available for hire for events both public and private. The baristas are awesome too! What to order: Vanilla Latte, Caramel Latte, Mocha
