New York Coffee Shops You Need to Try

Finding good local coffee shops, whether in my hometown or when I am traveling, is one of my favorite things to do. The number of cafés in NYC in seemingly endless, but they are not all created equal. These New York coffee shops are my go-to spots when I am in the city and need a caffeine fix.

All of the coffee at 787 is grown, processed and roasted on their own farm in the mountains of Maricao, Puerto Rico. They value sustainable and eco-friendly growing methods, and support the local community through jobs with better pay and benefits. Currently located in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and Texas. What to order: Mazapan Latte, Empanada

This is one of those places that is an absolute must whenever we are in town. We have been to three different locations in NYC and London, and it never gets old. While technically a bakery, I still count Fabrique as one of my favorite coffee shops because they have really good coffee. The pastries are incredible too! Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008, their concept of fresh, natural ingredients and traditional methods is where they shine. Locations include Sweden, London, and NYC. What to order: Cardamom Bun, Cinnamon Bun, Latte

I love a cute coffee shop! Combine that with a plant shop? I’m there! Remi offers cut flowers, plants, coffee and pastries. This little shop was super crowded when we were there, but it was worth the wait. What to order: Toasted Marshmallow Mocha

Have you ever seen a mini succulent cupcake? You simply must have one, they are the cutest! Unfortunately I did not get a photo of them, but I plan to rectify that the next time I am in the city. This tiny shop gives off a very cool earthly urban vibe, and I am here for it. What to order: Mini Succulent Cupcake, Ube Latte

Which one of these New York coffee shops are you adding to your list? Do you have a favorite spot that I should add to my list?
